Joe Knaggs 1962 年出生在華盛頓特區，童年受到老鷹合唱團的12弦吉他音樂啟發，即對吉他有著濃厚的興趣。曾在 Paul Reed Smith Guitars 工作並擔任產品經理 25 年之後離開了這家位於馬里蘭州的傳奇公司，Knaggs 於 2009 年，與前 PRS 同事 Peter Wolf 一起建立了自己的新品牌，後者現在是Knaggs 吉他公司全球銷售和營銷副總裁。

Knaggs Guitars 吉他在風格上與眾不同且具有獨創性，有著漂亮且精美的設計，同時有著極易演奏的手感與音色。
