The Double Spiral Shield is wound twice each time in a spiral pattern in a different direction from right to left.
Unlike the horizontal wounds, when flexed the excess noise does not occur due to the gaps being enclosed by this shielding method.
The cables are heavier because they are wounded twice.
Allies Original Custom Plugs
Brass is well known and used for plugs by many manufacturers. But we have added and selected a new material, Phosphor Bronze. We also tested other materials such as Beryllium Bronze and other alloys, but applying phosphor bronze, we were able to discover a whole new characteristic to the sound and exploring new possible ways of tuning our plugs. The phosphor bronze has an aspect which is rigid and suitable for instrument plugs. Comparing to Brass, the phosphor bronze delivers more clarity to the sound, and adds the perfect amount of highs and the low frequencies. Being able to use the phosphor bronze and the brass material, we can select these two materials to the plug structure which is made up of the Tip, Sleeve and Cap. These will vary in sound depending on the selected material. Among them all, we chose three different plug patterns for our lineup.
