Semi-Hollow electric guitar in classic Frost Blue finish with MHS humbuckers and VariTone circuitry
The Gibson 1964 ES-345 VOS Frost Blue is a Custom Shop model with a classic VariTone switch and Memphis Historic Spec pickups. This Custom Shop guitar was made especially as part of a limited run for Music Store. Equipped with VOS nickel hardware, this 1964 Gibson ES-345 Thinline guitar offers enhanced intonation and clarity through a Gibson No-Wire ABR-1 bridge and aluminium stopbar tailpiece. Reliable reissue Kluson Double Ring Tulip tuning machines help to enhance tuning stability. For added security, this guitar is equipped with standard strap locks to keep your strap secure.
Based on the classic 1964 ES-345 Custom, this guitar is built from three-ply maple/poplar with a glued mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. A 1964 Rounded-“C” profile allows complex chord patterns and solos, and provides a comfortable hold and fit. A VariTone switch offers a choice between six positions, resulting in different Treble-Rolloffs for each tone control. Two Memphis Historic Spec pickups with Alnico III and II magnets on the neck and bridge positions respectively elicit an authentic vintage sound with airy warmth and acoustic timbre that made the original 1964 ES-345 famous. Each guitar comes with a Gibson hardcase.
